The Dukeries Academy celebrating positive A-level results
The Dukeries Academy is celebrating today further improvements following improved KS5 Headline results
This year 40.4% of pupils have gained A*-B of all entries compared to 36.4% last year and 67.9% A*-C of all entries compared to 63.6% last year. The average point score expressed as an A level grade has increased from C- last year to C this year. Vocational results have also significantly increased with 65% of pupils achieving at least 3 substantial qualifications compared with 40% last year and 100% of pupils achieving at least 2 substantial qualifications compared to 80% last year.
Principal, Ian Barton, said “This year’s results are a culmination of all the fantastic hard work put in by both pupils and staff, and we are delighted with all that they have achieved. The academy has worked diligently on raising high expectations, with a focus on preparing pupils for their future, and we wish pupils all the luck in their chosen path. I would like to thank both pupils and staff for their continuing hard work.”

The academy is well on the way to being outstanding and these results reflect the excellent quality of education provided for post 16 students.”
